We are looking for a solution oriented and service-focused Vendor Co-ordinator to join Semantix’s growing organization in Finland. The Vendor Co-ordinator will be an important resource in the Vendor Team in Translation Services. Semantix helps people to understand each other and offers solutions in the areas of translation, writing services, language training and interpreting. The company is the biggest language company in the Nordic region and the 15th largest in the world. The position would be a permanent and full-time one located in the Helsinki office.
As a Vendor Co-ordinator in Translation Services, you will deal with vendor issues for the entire group on an ongoing basis. The position involves making daily contact with vendors throughout the world and supporting colleagues in Sweden, Norway and Finland. A key duty will be ensuring that Semantix has enough skilled translation vendors (freelancers and agencies) to deliver the level of quality needed in every project, at the right price, with the right knowledge of the subject in question and in all of the requested language combinations. Your duties will mainly consist of recruiting, sourcing and negotiating terms and conditions with translators, and helping to provide the information required to deal with the large flow of projects handled by Semantix on a daily basis. This includes ensuring that the company has the resources needed to participate in major tenders.
You have previously worked on similar duties within the field of translation or recruitment and staffing services, and have the relevant education. You have previously worked in a similar service role and are used to dealing with vendors and customers. Of course, you should have good Microsoft Office skills, as well as the necessary technical skills and curiosity to get to grips easily with the systems we use. You must also be extremely meticulous, as our day-to-day operations are completely dependent on our systems being updated correctly. It is important that you have good Finnish and English language skills, and are able to express yourself clearly in the written and spoken forms of both languages. Fluency in Swedish would be an advantage.
Semantix strongly emphasises the personal qualities of its employees. To feel at home in the role of Vendor Co-ordinator, you must be result-oriented and enjoy having a range of duties that may vary from day to day. You must be service-focused, good at prioritising and able to ensure that things get done. You should have a fundamentally positive attitude and enjoy the challenge of working at a fast pace.
Applicants should be able to get behind and live up to Semantix’s values: committed, customer-oriented and professional. You should communicate openly and honestly, and take a down-to-earth approach towards those around you.
